I am 35 years old and recently married as of December 2009. I once competed in some local fitness shows in Vancouver Canada in 2002. It was great fun! I was in a car accident shortly after and suffered whiplash. I was out of work for 1 year and in and out of physio. I gained about 25 over the past few years and weighed 163, my maximum weight ever. I lost weight and gained it back and realized a few things. If you want get fit it has to be a lifestyle change. Also it starts with a thought. Create the picture you want to be in your mind. Set a goal with a timeline, a realistic goal with an end date to accomplish it. If you focus on the food or the weight, you will just attract more of it to you. I focus on the fun of it, the goal and the slow changes in my body and my mind. The number on the scale is down to 158 and I'm more focused on how my clothes fit than that number! My goal is to feel comfortable and free in my bikini this summer! I'm doing 3 spinning classes a week at my gym and have noticed results in the 2 weeks it's been. I also have a weight training routine 4 days a week. I created a Dream Board. It's glued full of pictures of things I would like to own or do in my life. I have some pics of Ava Cowan and her toned legs and butt! I wake up in the morning and imagine myself with that look! It's good to have a role model that has a body type close to yours. That way it seems more realistic to acheive it. I'm sooo excited!! |
